In Yumba Days by Herb Wharton, life is all about having fun...and getting into LOTS of trouble! This book is mainly consisted of stories about Herb's childhood, all the way up to how he is now! For him, living between two extremely diverse cultures isn't as hard as it looks. This book is so far one of the best books I've ever read! Why? Because of all the funny stories of him stealing fruits from a "forbidden" tree, or when older, learning how to use a computer! Gradually, you'll notice the plot, of Herb from child, to teen, and then adult. In the middle of the book, Herbie becomes a teen and begins his journeys as a drover. When older,Herbie takes his journeys to an even larger extent and talks about himself as and adult, and you'll have to read this book to find the funny twist at the end that makes him become a "literary man". I would recommend this book to anyone, as it is a true "swagful of larrikin fun!"
